Professional liability insurance is provided by Zurich Insurance plc in 53287 Bonn, Germany. This insurance covers activities in the member countries of the European Union and complies with the requirements of section 51a of the German Federal Lawyers’ Act (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung, BRAO).

The rules of professional conduct for lawyers in Germany are the German Federal Lawyers’ Act (Bundesrechtsanwaltsordnung, BRAO), the Rules of Professional Practice for Lawyers, (Berufsordnung der Rechtsanwälte, BORA), the Rules of Professional Practice for Specialist Lawyers (Fachanwaltsordnung, FAO), the Code of Conduct of the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe, the Federal Lawyers’ Fees Act (Bundesrechtsanwaltsgebührenordnung, BRAGO) and the German Act on Lawyers’ Fees (Rechtsanwaltsvergütungsgesetz, RVG).
