Jakob Zywitz advises national and international companies in the field of environmental, planning, construction and emission control law, with a focus on the energy sector. He has extensive experience in advising on infrastructure projects under public law and supports these in all project phases, with a focus on the expansion of the transmission grid, other grid-based infrastructure and the expansion of offshore wind energy use. He represents our clients in administrative proceedings and legal disputes. Jakob speaks German and English.

Background

Jakob Zywitz is a principal associate in our Düsseldorf office. He studied law at the Westphalian Wilhelms-University of Münster. He specializes in public law with a particular focus on regulatory and environmental matters. He completed his legal training in the Circuit of the Higher Regional Court of Hamm, working inter alia for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Düsseldorf in the EPR practice group and another law firm in the planning, regulatory and environmental practice group. After completing his legal training, Jakob Zywitz worked as a research assistant at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and POSSER SPIETH WOLFERS & PARTNERS, both in Düsseldorf. He was admitted to the bar in 2020.
