Niklas Hannappel advises national and international clients in the field of German and European environmental, planning, and constitutional law, especially in the energy sector. He also represents our clients in administrative proceedings and legal disputes. He speaks German and English.
Background
Niklas studied law at the University of Münster and the National Law School of India University in Bangalore. He completed his legal training in the Circuit of the Higher Regional Court of Cologne, including stages at the Federal Constitutional Court (Bundesverfassungsgericht), the German University of Administrative Sciences Speyer, and a law firm specialising in public law, inter alia. He completed his doctorate at the University of Passau on a security law topic. From 2019 to 2022, Niklas served as a law clerk at the Federal Constitutional Court.
