Katharina Haen advises companies and the public sector on German and European environmental, planning and constitutional law. She represents national and international clients in both administrative and court proceedings. Katharina Haen is based in our Berlin office. She speaks English, German and Spanish.
Background
Katharina Haen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in economics from ESB Business School in Reutlingen and North Carolina State University in Raleigh, USA. She is an alumna of the German National Academic Foundation and the German Academic Exchange Service. After two years in the United States, she pursued her legal studies at the University of Tübingen, where she was working as a research assistant at the Chair of International Civil and Civil Procedural Law under Prof. Dr. Stefan Huber. Following her first state examination in Baden-Württemberg, she completed her legal clerkship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Hamburg with stages at the Federal Ministry of Finance in Berlin, at a Hamburg-based law firm specializing in international litigation, and at the European Commission in Brussels. Parallel to her legal clerkship, she was a finalist of the “Themis Competition”, an EU Commission-sponsored competition on European law held in Rome and Naples.
